Took about 2 hours by train
to travel from Ayuthaya to Lopburi. It’s a city of monkeys where monkeys
are like stray dogs, running all over the street and scampering along the
telephone wires. Once a mischievous one even flicked my cap off as I was
passing. From the way some of the residents kept a catapult in hand, I
think they are becoming a nuisance. Most of them gather at a shrine where
tourist will throw food for them. Some have become so used to the comfortable
life, they have turned obese,an
Equivalent of our Ricardo. Cost
of living in Lopburi is slightly higher. A plate of roast duck rice cost
25bts, 5bts more than other towns. There are also not much choice of food.
