Rudy, Tee Meng and I left Muar by taxi for KLIA at 4.30 am. We flew to
Bangkok by Thai Air on flight TG 420 at 0830 hrs. We were met by a Fortune
Hotel representive at Bangkok airport who then took us to the hotel by
van. We checked in room 1611 and 1614 respectively.
After our bath we went down looking for lunch at a nearby Tesco Lotus Food Court. We tried almost everything that our eyes laid upon after which we took bus 73 to Baiyoke Sky Hotel where the Baiyoke Tower is. It is the tallest building in Thailand - 84 storeys high. |

To go up we had to pay 120
baths each.
We went shopping and bought backpacks. I saw a Kannonchine stall which Ah Whatt was talking about and could not resist the urge to try a bowl. Whatt and I settled down for a bowl each but Rudy and Tee Meng prefered not to try. From there went to Pratunam by bus. Walked around Pratunam for three hours and after dinner we went back to our hotel to have our port opened. We were dead tired by then and slept early. According to Tee Meng, Rudy was asleep before his head touched his pillow. |
