THAILAND REVISIT
5 to 9 OCTOBER 2005
Yong Ah Whatt, Rudy Chaw, Ng Tee Meng, James Goh, Chin Lai Thiam and Goh Bong Soo

5 Oct 2005   AYUTHAYA

All geared up at departure hall, KLIA. Can you pick up the one who showed the most
excitement and the one who is the coolest of all?

Arrived at the KLIA airport and while having a cup of coffee at
McDonald's, filled in our embarkation cards.

Brimming with enthusiasm, we were ready to take to the skies on board AirAsia and plunder Ayuthaya, Kanchanaburi, Nakorn Pathom, Rachaburi and Bangkok.
And soon we were up, up and away with Bong Soo still fresh and alert, me half alert and Rudy all switched off.
Two hours later we landed at Don Muang airport and had to scramble to catch the next train to Ayuthaya which was about to move and the baby of the group couldn't help posing for posterity.
Walking a short distance from the train station was the ferry boat that would ferry us across to the main town and then to Ayuthaya Guesthouse where we were crammed into a spaciou dormitory with air-con and attached bathroom.   Rudy wasted no time in catching forty winks while Bong Soo discovered that what he had recorded earlier came to waste as the lens was dirty

After washing up we felt fresh but hungry and headed for Chao Prom market for a cheap but delicious
dinner comprising chicken  rice, pig's trotter rice, char siew rice and the famous Thai Tom Yum soup

As the night was still young, we chartered a tuk-tuk for a night tour of the city visiting some temples.
