My trip to Thailand in 1993 must certainly be one of my shortest. Spent only 8 days going to BKK, Nakorn Pathom and Nakorn Sithammarat. In 1994 I went back to Chiangmai, to the zoo with the intention of meeting Sriphai the vendor in the drink stall but the stall was still there with no sign of her. From there I continued on to Chiangrai, ChiangSaen. Maesai, the northern-most town in Thailand. Paid US$5 to enter Tachilek in Burma. Spent a few hours walking around and had a bowl of Mohinga (Burmese laksa). On the way back to BKK, I made a stop at Phayao, a town reputed to have the most beautiful girls who also made their way to Hadyai brothels.
